The letter read: "This author writes to you with the most exciting news. The time has come for us to turn our attention to the Matriarch of our beloved Bridgertons."
It continued: "A new series, chronicling the romance of a young Violet and Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, is underway. The love match that started it all shall soon be yours to see, dear reader. This author shall be sure to inform you of any updates. Until then..."
Fans' Reactions and What to Expect
The new series will take viewers back to the early years of Violet's life, offering a closer look at the love story that shaped the family. Fans have already seen glimpses of Violet and Edmund's relationship through flashback scenes in the second season of Bridgerton. Edmund, played by Rupert Evans, died suddenly after being stung by a bee, leaving his pregnant wife and their seven children behind.
