Michelle Keegan has confirmed she has finished filming her upcoming Netflix series, The Woods, after being seen back in Bolton last week.

The actress, who was born in Stockport but grew up in Salford, has been working on her next TV role, her second Harlan Coben adaptation for the streaming giant. She previously earned praise from fans and critics for her role in Fool Me Once, released in 2024.

Filming details revealed

According to Netflix, the series follows Paul ‘Cope’ Copeland, whose sister Camille vanished from a summer camp in the woods 20 years ago. Now a barrister and single father, his past resurfaces when the body of a man supposedly murdered alongside Camille turns up, suggesting his sister may have survived.

Early last week, Keegan shared a photo on her Instagram Story of her trailer, confirming her character’s name, Lucy Silverfield, and that the production was for The Woods, made by Manchester-based Quay Street Productions.

Final day on set

On Saturday, October 10, the former Coronation Street star shared another update, posting a picture of herself enjoying a coffee break in the woods, captioned: “Last day on The Woods [clapperboard emoji].”

She also shared a picture of her takeaway coffee cup, which featured her name and a drawn heart. The post comes after the owners of a coffee shop in Bolton said they had a ‘very exciting day’ as production took place near their usual spot. Keegan also shared a post of the Coffee Van on her Instagram account, which has over seven million followers.

The Coffee Van has been situated on Walker Fold Car Park since about 2016. Located by the Smithills Estate, run by the Woodland Trust, the vintage horsebox cafe is popular with dog-walkers and those wanting views of Winter Hill.
