Tommy Fury Opens Up About Self-Esteem Struggles on BBC's The Wheel

Boxer Tommy Fury has made a candid admission about his self-esteem during an emotional appearance on BBC One's The Wheel. The former Love Islander, who appears as a celebrity expert on the show this Saturday, confessed to host Michael McIntyre that he feels 'completely useless' and unsure of his place on the panel.

In an exclusive preview of the episode, Fury told McIntyre: 'I'll be honest, I'm going to wing it today and I don't know how I've ended up here, because I know nothing about nothing.' When pressed by the host to feel more confident, Fury replied: 'How can I? I'm not an academic person, I don't know anything about anything so I'm completely useless to anybody. I don't know why I'm sitting in the chair to be quite honest with you.'

A surprised McIntyre responded: 'Well I've never seen such overt self-esteem issues. We must all unify to help Tommy.' Fury joked: 'Well now if I do well, it's going to be a big thing isn't it, because I've started off here, so if I do something, if I win somebody a fiver it's going to put me up here isn't it.' McIntyre quipped: 'Yeah, I think we're looking for more than a fiver but let's see how the game plays out.'
