A young Toblerone fan has sparked a frenzy on social media after spotting a hidden detail in the chocolate's logo that many people had never seen before. The discovery was shared on X, where the user recounted: 'My son had his first Toblerone today. 'What's the bear for?' Me: 'What bear?' I was today years old when I found out there's a bear in the Toblerone logo!'
What Is the Hidden Detail?
The bear is positioned upright on its hind legs and forms part of the two-tone emblem on the Toblerone wrapper. Despite recent modifications to the mountain design, the creature has been kept on the packaging. Social media users were quick to explain the meaning: 'Toblerone comes from Bern, Switzerland. Also known as the city of bears.'
Reactions and Astonishment
Many people expressed shock at having missed the detail for years. One user joked: 'There is clearly no bear in the logo of Tobl... oh, there he is. Damn.' Another responded: 'I have never seen that!!! Your son is brilliant!' A third chimed in: 'Eating them for 50 years never noticed that, your lad's a genius, in my defence the wrapper is the last thing I'm thinking about when I get one.'
Other Toblerone Facts
In addition to the hidden bear, Toblerone has undergone other changes. Manufacturing has relocated from the original Switzerland to Slovakia. As a result, the wrapper now reads 'established in Switzerland' rather than 'of Switzerland'. Toblerone has been a staple for sweet-toothed Brits for generations, often found under Christmas trees or purchased at airports.
