Stacey Solomon's Sister Jemma Opens Up About Lifelong Anxiety Struggle

Jemma Solomon, the older sister of TV personality Stacey Solomon, has spoken candidly about her battle with anxiety, which she says began after the birth of her first child. The 35-year-old mother of three, who runs a successful label business, revealed that the trauma of childbirth triggered a deep-seated fear of death that left her struggling with her mental health.

In an interview ahead of the release of her debut book, Love, Lists And Labels, Jemma explained that she experienced overwhelming anxiety after the birth of her eldest daughter Darcy, now 10. 'I remember teaching Lee how to resuscitate me because I was convinced that I was going to die,' she said. 'My head was full of figures and statistics that kept reminding me of my own mortality.'

Jemma, who worked as a paediatric nurse until 2019, said she initially did not realise she needed professional help. The anxiety, she believes, was caused by the trauma of the birth. She now manages her condition with the support of her husband Lee, who works full-time for her company, The Label Lady.

Despite her struggles, Jemma has built a thriving business from a label-making machine she bought for an events sideline. The Label Lady now has 675,000 Instagram followers and has attracted investment from Lord Alan Sugar. Her sister Stacey, known for her 'Tap to Tidy' videos and TV show Sort Your Life Out, has been a huge supporter.

Jemma also spoke about the daily battle with 'mum guilt' and the challenges of balancing work and family. 'People always ask me how I do it,' she said. 'But, honestly, there's no right or wrong way.' Her book, which explores her journey through lists and labels, is set to hit shelves soon.
