Samantha Womack Hints at Split from Oliver Farnworth

Samantha Womack, 53, has sparked speculation that her relationship with Oliver Farnworth has ended with a cryptic Instagram post. The actress uploaded a racy snap of herself in an outdoor hot tub, accompanied by the caption: 'Alone again... naturally'.

Social Media Clues

Adding further fuel to the rumours, Roxy Simmons, Samantha's on-screen sister in EastEnders, commented on the post: 'Obv, love you'. Samantha replied: 'I've got you though'. The exchange has led fans to believe that the actress and Oliver, 43, who plays Emmerdale villain John Sugden, have parted ways.

Family Reactions

Samantha's son Benjamin, 25, cheekily commented: 'There's still time to delete this mum'. To which she responded: 'I was going to say that about all your gym posts... what a coincidence.' The playful banter suggests a close family bond.

Relationship History

Oliver and Samantha began dating in 2019 after growing close while working on the stage adaptation of The Girl On The Train. Their relationship started a year after Samantha split from her husband Mark, ending a 19-year marriage. She has two children: Lili-Rose, 21, and Benjamin, 25.

The couple lived together in Spain, where Samantha moved after the death of her beloved dog Lola, just weeks after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Impact of Lola's Death

Samantha rescued Lola from Goa, India, in 2019. She revealed that Lola's death in September 2022 was one of the 'worst days' of her life, making her health struggles feel real. She told the Sunday Times: 'She died on the same day as the Queen. I was devastated. It was one of the worst days of my life.'

'I'd just been diagnosed with breast cancer and losing Lola was probably worse for me than the breast cancer diagnosis. It made everything seem real. That was when I decided to stop working and focus on getting better... If I hadn't lost Lola, I wouldn't have gone back to Valencia and taken a year off to really try to work on my body and get better, so Lola changed the course of my life.'

Samantha received the all-clear five months after her diagnosis but said the disease could have been a 'death sentence' if discovered any later.
