Rylan Clark Reveals Stroke-Like Symptoms During Mental Health Crisis

Rylan Clark has opened up about losing his vision and experiencing stroke-like symptoms during a mental health crisis following the breakdown of his marriage. The 35-year-old TV personality told the Great Company podcast that he lost his speech and vision temporarily, describing the experience as 'like having a really bad stroke'.

Clark, who was married to Dan Neal from 2015 until their divorce in 2021, said he was forced to take four to five months off work to recover. He admitted to regretting stopping work but has since made peace with how he handled the situation, calling it a 'self destruct button' that he pressed to blow up his 'seemingly perfect life'.

The former X Factor finalist and Eurovision commentator said he thought he was 'crazy' and lived with his mother during the worst period, unable to trust himself in his own home. He urged others going through similar experiences to reach out for help sooner rather than later, emphasising the importance of time and self-care.
