Royal Ascot Day 4 promises thrilling action, and Garry Owen has identified several strong contenders. Aidan O'Brien is expected to shine with a potential Fab Four, including Albert Einstein in the Commonwealth Cup.
Albert Einstein (3:05) - Commonwealth Cup
The three-year-old colt has long been highly regarded by trainer Aidan O'Brien. He impressed on debut at Naas, defeating Evening Blues, and later won a Group 3 at the Curragh against Power Blue. Despite setbacks in the Gladness and Greenham, he bounced back with a narrow loss to Song of The Clyde over six furlongs. O'Brien's faith remains strong, and Albert Einstein can secure his first Group 1 victory.
Sun Goddess (2:30) - Albany Stakes
This filly showed promise on debut, finishing second to Carry The Flag over five furlongs at Naas. She relished the step up to six furlongs, winning a Curragh maiden by a wide margin against Green Empress. With plenty of improvement expected, Sun Goddess can overcome her rivals.
Precise (4:20) - Coronation Stakes
Precise claimed her first Group 1 in the Moyglare at the Curragh, beating Beautify. She added the Fillies' Mile at Newmarket, defeating Venetian Lace. After a below-par run in the 1000 Guineas, she reversed form with stablemate True Love in the Irish version, powering clear. She can confirm her superiority.
Causeway (5:35) - King Edward VII Stakes
Causeway impressed in a Curragh maiden, beating Iron Lily. He followed up with a handicap win at Naas and a Listed victory over Andab. Stepping up to 1m 2f, he outbattled Zia Zabel in the Gallinule. Strong at the finish, he can strike again over the longer distance.
Opportunity (3:40) - Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes
William Haggas's gelding showed signs of revival with a third in a handicap over track and trip. He confirmed his form with a decisive win over Star Harbour at Carlisle. Despite an 8lb penalty, the four-year-old can follow up.
Glyfada (5:00) - Sandringham Stakes
Donncha O'Brien's filly was second to Galileo Noir on debut at the Curragh. She then won over 1m 2f at Naas and a handicap at Killarney over a mile. This smart type has more to offer and can beat strong foes.
Bacio (6:10) - Holyroodhouse Handicap
Wesley Ward's sprinter impressed on dirt at Monmouth Park and transitioned well to turf, finishing second at Santa Anita. He won at Del Mar and Churchill Downs, earning his trip to the UK. The three-year-old should relish the track and can see off rivals.
Garry Owen's selections for Day 4 include Sun Goddess (2:30), Albert Einstein (3:05, NAP), Opportunity (3:40), Precise (4:20), Glyfada (5:00), Causeway (5:35), and Bacio (6:10).
