Robbie Williams has revealed that his 13-year-old daughter, Teddy, sent him a distressing text message at 2am, expressing her fear of being 'nothing' if she does not become famous. The singer shared the exchange during an appearance on BBC Radio 2 with Scott Mills.
Williams, who shares Teddy with wife Ayda Field, read out the message: 'Dad, what if I'm not a singer? It's my biggest fear not to be a singer. What if I'm nothing?' The singer responded by reassuring his daughter that she would be fine because she is a 'nepo' – a reference to nepotism – adding that he could steer her professionally.
The former Take That star admitted he is worried about Teddy's sensitivity, saying she is 'worse than me' and that he fears the impact of 'words and mean people'. Despite this, he described the entertainment industry as 'a wonderful, wonderful life' and said he feels 'very grateful and incredibly lucky'.
Teddy recently made her acting debut in the Christmas film Tinsel Town, playing the daughter of Rebel Wilson's character. She attended the premiere with her parents, wearing a green dress and black fur jacket. Williams and Field also have three other children: Charlie, 10, Coco, 7, and Beau, 5.
