Reese Witherspoon's son, Deacon Phillippe, made a stylish appearance at a Fendi event in New York City on Tuesday evening, shortly after celebrating his college graduation. The 22-year-old musician, who recently completed his studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, turned heads in a sleek V-neck black sweater, black jeans, and polished black loafers. His dark hair was slicked back as he posed alongside athlete Dylan Martin at the designer's baguette re-edition soiree.
Family Celebration at NYU Graduation
Just days earlier, Deacon marked his graduation from NYU, which he proudly showcased in an Instagram post last week. The ceremony took place at the iconic Radio City Music Hall, and he was joined by his mother, Reese Witherspoon (50), father Ryan Phillippe (51), sister Ava Phillippe (26), brother Tennessee Toth (13), and stepfather Jim Toth (55). Deacon cheekily captioned the Instagram carousel, 'Coledge grajuit,' drawing a supportive comment from his mom: 'What a huge achievement! So proud of you.' His sister added, 'a true scholar! with the paper to prove it! proud of you!'
Witherspoon's Heartfelt Tribute
Reese Witherspoon also shared her own post to commemorate her son's milestone. She wrote, 'After four years of hard work, long days, endless papers and classes, working with the greatest teachers and making new friends... My wonderful son graduated from @nyutisch! I'm so proud of you @deaconphillippe!' The Oscar winner reunited with her Big Little Lies co-star Laura Dern, who was the honored speaker at the ceremony, calling it the 'bonus of the year.' Deacon replied, 'Love u mama!'
Deacon also shared a post-graduation snapshot with his father Ryan Phillippe and stepfather Jim Toth. Witherspoon and Phillippe, who split in 2008 after nine years of marriage, have remained supportive co-parents. In October, Witherspoon posted a birthday tribute to Deacon, writing, 'Happy 22 to my wonderful son @deaconphillippe... I love you so much, buddy.' Phillippe commented, 'We did good,' with a prayer hands emoji.
Deacon recently appeared alongside his father in the 2025 Prime Video series Motorheads. His sister Ava, who studied social welfare at UC Berkeley and graduated in 2022, has since pursued a modeling career.
