Reba McEntire and Rex Linn Delay Wedding Until at Least 2027 Due to Work Commitments

Reba McEntire has revealed that her wedding to fiancé Rex Linn will be postponed until at least 2027, as both prioritise their careers. The 70-year-old country star shared the news at the Grammy Awards, explaining that work commitments have taken precedence over tying the knot.

Speaking to E! News, McEntire said: 'We're still waiting on a third season pickup from Happy's Place. And Rex got picked up on Stick with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back.' She added that Linn insists 'work comes first'. The couple co-star in the NBC sitcom Happy's Place, which was renewed for a third season the day after McEntire's Grammys appearance.

McEntire and Linn, who began dating in 2020, got engaged in September 2025 after Linn proposed on Christmas Eve 2024. The couple have previously worked together on projects including Big Sky, The Hammer, Young Sheldon and The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. Linn told E! News: 'We love being around one another. We like going to work, we like coming home from work. We can't wait to go back the next day.'

McEntire also used her Grammys performance to honour her former stepson, Brandon Blackstock, who died in August 2025 from melanoma. She sang her song 'Trailblazer' during the in memoriam segment, saying: 'It really is special to me, because my son is one that we're honouring. This is going to be my favourite memory.'
