Renowned psychic Sally Morgan, best known for her hit TV show Psychic Sally, has revealed details of her unusual gift and the challenges she faced as a child. Morgan, who counts Princess Diana among her celebrity clients, said she first saw a ghost at just four years old.
Speaking about her early years, the 63-year-old medium recalled being punished by a teacher for claiming to see the dead grandfather of a playmate. 'I said, “I want my granddad here” and the teacher said “no”. I said, “well she’s got her granddad” so the teacher said to me “come and show me”. I walked round to this little girl and I looked up at this man. He seemed to be very tall and he was in a black coat and with a black hat on and I said “there he is” and he smiled at me,' she said.
The teacher accused her of lying and strapped her to a high chair in the baby section for the entire day, where she 'screamed and sobbed for hours'. Another incident in junior school saw Morgan predict a teacher’s domestic argument, leading him to call her a 'wicked, wicked little girl' and throw her out of class.
Despite this negativity, Morgan pursued her gift, which she believes she inherited from her nanny Gladys. She initially used it as a party piece in her twenties before establishing a reputation as a professional medium. Today, she helps people communicate with deceased relatives, describing her talent as 'a blessing' that gives hope that life continues after death.
Morgan, who became one of the UK’s most popular psychics, said she picks up messages from the dead like 'radio waves' and delivers them to the intended receiver. 'We’ve all got this ability,' she added, 'but with me, it was just there all the time.'
