Prince Harry 'Better Off' Without Meghan Markle on UK Trip, Expert Claims
Prince Harry 'Better Off' Without Meghan on UK Trip

Prince Harry is “better off” without his wife, Meghan Markle, as the Duke carries out his five-day trip back to the UK, according to a brand and culture expert. The Duke of Sussex returned to Britain earlier this week for engagements tied to his patronages, with the main aim of marking the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games in Birmingham.

Meghan's Absence Shifts Focus to Veterans

Harry was originally due to be joined by Meghan and their two children, but the Sussex family pulled out at the eleventh hour due to security concerns. Nick Ede, a Brand and Culture expert, told the Daily Express that Meghan's decision not to accompany Harry is “probably the smartest move for both her personal brand and the Invictus Games.”

Ede explained: “The focus should always be on the competitors, the veterans and the extraordinary stories of resilience that make Invictus such an important event.” He noted that Meghan “inevitably” attracts attention wherever she goes, and without her, Harry is more likely to shift the spotlight where it belongs: on the veterans.

Expert: Meghan's Presence Distracts from Invictus

“Whenever Meghan attends, the conversation inevitably shifts towards what she's wearing, body language, family tensions and the state of the Sussexes' relationship with the Royal Family,” Ede said. “Without her there, Harry has a better chance of putting the spotlight back where it belongs.”

It remains unclear whether the Duchess will attend any of the scheduled engagements during Harry's trip. While she is not expected to join him in London, there is still a possibility she could travel with him to events elsewhere, including Birmingham.
