Strictly's Motsi Mabuse Flaunts Weight Loss in Germany, Reveals Fitness Secrets
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse continued to showcase her incredible weight loss transformation on Friday, sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from filming the dance series in Germany. The 44-year-old, who serves as a judge on both the UK and German versions of the show, stunned fans by slipping into a vibrant mini dress for the occasion.
Motsi's Stunning Look and Social Media Post
Motsi's ensemble featured a strapless design with a bubble skirt and a striking colourful print, putting on a very leggy display as she posed energetically. She added extra height to her frame with strappy black platform shoes and enhanced her sparkle with statement earrings. Captioning the Instagram post, she wrote: 'Show 2!!! Guys let's go!! Tonight it will be exciting again on the dance floor how is the mood? Who are you most looking forward to?'
Weight Loss Journey and Menopause Motivation
This display comes after Motsi revealed that instead of turning to weight loss jabs for her new look, she has gone back to basics, focusing on better nutrition and exercise. She credited weight training and eating nuts, fruit, and salad as key factors in her jaw-dropping weight loss. Additionally, menopause sparked her motivation to get fit for 'what's to come'. In an interview with The Sun, Motsi expressed frustration with fearmongering around menopause, stating she sought reassurance from fellow judge Shirley Ballas, who described it as 'a ride'.
In 2022, Motsi detailed how her weight had been 'a constant struggle' throughout her life, leading her to become 'more compassionate' about her size. She recalled being told to lose weight by a teacher when she weighed just 110lbs, but has since learned that 'a healthy mind, body and soul' is more important.
Strictly Come Dancing Cast Shake-Up
Meanwhile, the BBC show has been hit by a significant shake-up following the departure of hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Several professional dancers have been axed from the lineup, including Luba Mushtuk, who is said to be feeling 'absolutely devastated'. Sources indicate that Luba, who joined the show in 2018, 'thought she had more time' before the mass cuts. A source told the Express: 'Luba is basically in hiding right now. She's not answering calls, not replying to messages - she just wants to process it privately.' The source added that this decision was not due to wrongdoing or performance issues but rather a brutal reality of TV where producers refresh the cast.
Other dancers affected include Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Gorka Márquez. Karen, the longest-serving female dancer since 2012, was informed last week that her contract would not be renewed. Insiders described it as 'out with the old and in with the new', with Karen trying to remain positive about her future in choreography and fitness. However, it was also revealed that Katya Jones will be staying in the lineup after receiving a new contract from bosses.
The shake-up has left many in the Strictly community reeling, with sources calling it an 'awful fate' for dedicated professionals. Daily Mail has contacted Luba's representatives for comment, highlighting the ongoing developments in this major cast restructuring.
