Meghan Markle could be set to revive her Archetypes podcast after a social media post from Lemonada Media hinted at new episodes. The company, which signed Meghan in 2024 after the collapse of her Spotify deal, shared an update on Instagram this week that featured Archetypes in a collage of returning shows.
The post read: "We are SO Back! With new episodes of Fail Better, Boneheads, Pop Culture Debate Club AND MORE coming out this week, which podcast are you excited to listen to this week?" Fans quickly speculated about Meghan's involvement, with one commenting: "More from Meghan?" and another saying: "A new Archetypes ep would be lovely."
Meghan and Prince Harry originally signed a $25 million (£19 million) deal with Spotify in 2020, but the partnership ended abruptly in 2023 after producing only one 12-episode series, Archetypes. The show featured Meghan interviewing celebrity guests including Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, and Paris Hilton.
Spotify's head of podcast innovation, Bill Simmons, later called the couple "grifters" on his own podcast, saying: "I wish I had been involved in the 'Meghan and Harry leave Spotify' negotiation. The F***ing Grifters. That's the podcast we should have launched with them."
Despite the rocky end to the Spotify deal, Meghan's move to Lemonada Media and the new Instagram hint suggest a potential return for Archetypes in 2025, adding to her recent relaunch of Instagram and the upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan.
