Margaret Qualley's representatives have forcefully denied speculation that infidelity caused her reported split from husband Jack Antonoff. In a statement to NBC News, the spokesperson said: "The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship."
Relationship Status Unconfirmed
The actress, 31, and Antonoff, 42, married in August 2023 after getting engaged in 2022. Reports of a split emerged earlier this week when Antonoff attended Taylor Swift's wedding with his sister instead of Qualley, and Qualley deleted wedding photos from Instagram. She also changed her handle from @ismostar (a reference to Antonoff's Bleachers song) to @sarahmargaretqulley23.
However, Qualley's reps stopped short of confirming or denying the separation, stating: "They have deep love and care for one another. There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy."
Rocky Reports
A source told People that the couple had separated after a "rocky" period and were no longer living together, though they were "figuring things out." Neither Qualley nor Antonoff have publicly addressed the status of their marriage.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in August 2021 and made their red carpet debut at the Critics' Choice Awards in early 2022. Antonoff later told Howard Stern that he knew he would marry Qualley from the day they met, calling it "like a f***ing Hallmark movie."
Musical Inspiration
Their relationship inspired Lana Del Rey's song 'Margaret', featuring Bleachers, with lyrics: "He met Margaret on a rooftop, she was wearing white / And he was like, 'I might be in trouble' / He had flashes of the good life." Del Rey credited Antonoff's marriage as an example that influenced her own wedding.
