Influencer Lorna Luxe Opens Up About Motherhood Considerations After Husband's Tragic Death

Social media influencer Lorna Luxe has publicly revealed she is now considering having children following the devastating loss of her husband, John Andrews, who passed away in February after a battle with stage four adrenal cancer. The 43-year-old content creator lost her 64-year-old husband to the aggressive disease, marking a profound personal tragedy that has reshaped her perspectives on family and future plans.

Reflections on Marriage and Career Choices

In her first interview since John's passing, Lorna reflected on their seventeen-year marriage and the couple's original decision not to have children. She explained that they had actively tried to conceive when they first married when she was 26, but when pregnancy didn't occur, she chose to focus on building her career instead.

'Over the past couple of years I'd say, "Do you think we should have done something about that? Shall we go and get me checked out?"' Lorna shared, revealing how the topic resurfaced in recent years. 'But then John got ill… I don't dwell on what might have been, but just recently I was asking the guy who does my Botox if I should freeze my eggs.'

The influencer emphasized the emotional weight of now facing major life decisions alone after years of partnership. 'I've always been part of a partnership; now I've got these big decisions to make alone,' she told The Times newspaper.

Stressful Housing Transition and Emotional Resilience

Lorna has also undergone what she describes as a 'stressful' life change as she was forced to move into temporary accommodation while awaiting completion of extensive renovations to their £2.5 million Warwickshire home. The property, famously nicknamed 'Ghost House,' required the couple to relocate in 2025 during what was originally planned as a six-month renovation project.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Lorna expressed both the disorientation of the move and her determination to persevere. 'I've whacked all my stuff in storage so it's a bit disorientating for Kev-bear,' she wrote, referring to her dog. 'We moved in with a suitcase of clothes, a corkscrew and a kettle... I hadn't anticipated having to move out of our last place so this has all been a bit stressful but you know what, John would be so proud that I pulled it off and found me and Bear an even better gaff to 'temporarily' call home.'

Cancer Battle and Emotional Aftermath

John Andrews was originally diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2023. After experiencing a period of remission, the cancer returned the following year and spread to his brain. The millionaire banker was subsequently rushed to hospital with organ failure following chemotherapy complications and developed sepsis shortly before Christmas.

Despite being told to prepare for the worst, John returned home to spend Christmas Day with Lorna before ultimately passing away on February 11. Last month, Lorna struggled emotionally while preparing to revisit their Warwickshire home without her husband for a progress meeting with contractors.

'I'm having to be John today and head to Ghost House in a bit for the quarterly site progress meeting,' she wrote to followers. 'All the contractors working the site are going to walk me through their plans, and then I get to share anything I want changing. We were both so excited to get back to there. Very bittersweet this.'

Renovation Delays and Future Uncertainties

The renovation project has extended significantly beyond the original six-month timeframe, with Lorna now anticipating an August completion date. 'I've been told it's going to be August that I get the house back, so it'll have been a year since John and I moved out,' she explained. 'It's meant to be six months, so massively over the time frame, but I think I'm going to get a house back that I'm really happy with.'

She added with emotional vulnerability: 'And yeah, be really nice to be home. I'm really missing it now - I don't know what the next few months are going to look like for me, so I'm not going to think about it, but the game plan is moving back in August.'
