ITV has confirmed that filming for the sixth season of the detective drama Grace is underway, with new episode titles and guest stars announced. The series, based on Peter James's bestselling novels, will see John Simm reprise his role as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, alongside returning cast members Richie Campbell, Laura Elphinstone, Zoë Tapper, and Brad Morrison.
The four new episodes will be titled Left You Dead, Picture You Dead, and One Of Us Is Dead (the fourth title remains undisclosed). Guest stars include Rishi Nair (Grantchester), Ali Khan (Showtrial), Gurjeet Singh (Ackley Bridge), Hannah McClean (Blue Lights), Tamla Kari (DI Ray), and Sara Powell (The Killing Kind).
Lead actor John Simm expressed his enthusiasm for the new series, stating: 'This is the longest I’ve been involved in any show! But it’s such a joy to do, and to be surrounded by a team like this for large chunks of the year makes it impossible to turn down. I’m really looking forward to seeing where Roy’s journey goes in this series.'
Executive producer Phil Hunter added: 'Grace is such a joy to make so we are thrilled at how well received series five was. It’s great to be back in Brighton with our brilliant and talented cast and crew to shoot another four episodes this summer.'
The fifth season concluded less than two weeks ago, and all previous seasons are available to stream on ITVX.
