A former bandmate of Lauren Bennett has shared the tragic plans they made before her death at the age of 36. The former GRL star's death was confirmed this week, with an inquest set for October 30.
Plans for a Musical Comeback
Her former bandmate in pop group Paradiso Girls, Aria Crescendo, has revealed how Lauren had hoped to make a musical comeback with the band. Aria said her friend was 'too young, too beautiful, too talented' to die and has vowed to honour her legacy.
The pair were both in Paradiso Girls in the late 2000s and remained in contact over the years as Bennett went on to join GRL in 2014, and became known worldwide for her feature on LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem in 2011.
Unreleased Album and Tribute
Crescendo said the Paradiso Girls had been in meetings over revisiting an unreleased album. She said Bennett was "so excited by the project" and now says the girls "owe" it to their late friend to follow through with their plans. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said any new release will only go ahead if it's in their pal's honour.
Speaking of Bennett's death, she said: "'It's unfair". She admitted she had been in a state of disbelief since being told of the tragedy. "Life is so f***ing short," she added.
Close Bond and Past Work
Crescendo said she felt like Lauren's "big sister" in the group and they shared a close bond. They were part of the band between 2008 to 2010 alongside Chelsea Korka, Kelly Beckett and Shar Mae Amor. They only released three singles, including a collaboration with Lil Jon and Eve, but Crescendo would love to see their past work revisited after they never got to release their debut album.
Statements from GRL and Police
Bennett's former band GRL released a statement earlier this week confirming her death. It read: "It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts. Your GRLS, Em, Tash, and P."
In a statement to the Mirror, Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called to an address in Meopham at about 2pm on Friday 29 May 2026 following concerns for the welfare of a person. Officers attended, along with SECAMB and a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been prepared for the coroner."
