Kym Marsh Blasts 'So-Called Friends' Who Ditched Her After Tragic Loss
Kym Marsh slams friends who abandoned her after son's death

Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has revealed the heartbreaking betrayal she felt after losing her son Archie, when some of her closest friends seemingly vanished from her life.

In an emotional interview, the 47-year-old star admitted she was left devastated when people she considered friends failed to support her during her darkest hour. "You find out who your real friends are," Marsh told OK! Magazine.

The Pain of Losing Archie

Marsh's son Archie was born prematurely in 2009 and tragically passed away just minutes after birth. The actress has been open about her grief journey, including documenting it in her BBC documentary Kym Marsh: Lost Boys and Our Girls.

"When you go through something like that, you need your friends more than ever," Marsh explained. "But some people just disappeared. They didn't know what to say, so they said nothing at all."

Finding Strength in Family

Despite the hurt caused by these abandoned friendships, Marsh found unwavering support from her family, particularly her daughter Emilie and son David. "My children have been my rock," she shared.

The actress also credits her work with charities supporting bereaved parents as helping her through the difficult times. "Helping others who've experienced similar loss has given me purpose," Marsh revealed.

A Message About Grief

Marsh hopes her honesty will help others understand how to support grieving friends. "You don't need to have the perfect words," she advised. "Just being there means everything."

The star, who recently appeared on Morning Live, continues to raise awareness about baby loss while rebuilding her life with the support of true friends who stood by her side.
