Kimberly Wyatt Inspired by Andy Murray for Hip Replacement

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt has revealed that she drew inspiration from tennis champion Andy Murray and ballerina Misty Copeland ahead of her hip replacement surgery. The 44-year-old singer and dancer underwent the procedure in 2024 after enduring two years of debilitating pain that affected her walking and sleep.

Inspiration from Sporting Greats

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Wyatt said: 'I was inspired by people like Andy Murray and Misty Copeland, a brilliant ballerina, both have had hip replacements and have been able to go on and continue to win. So I sort of took a page out of their book, and kind of, you know, did all the physio, and continue to be really mindful of being able to keep my body in a place, and I can still be in my killer heels!'

Wyatt first revealed her hip replacement in June 2026, noting that she is 'not totally' pain-free. The decision to undergo surgery was driven by a desire to improve her quality of life. 'The hip replacement was a tough old thing, but I was in the quality of life I was getting, I couldn't really walk very well, I couldn't sleep, it was two years into it, so I sort of had to make it happen,' she explained.

Pussycat Dolls Reunion Tour

Wyatt, an original member of the Pussycat Dolls, is set to reunite with Nicole Scherzinger and Ashley Roberts for the PCD Forever Tour. The group kicked off with a Pride performance in West Hollywood in June and will return for seven UK dates in September, culminating in London on 13 October. 'We did West Hollywood Pride and I'll tell you what, Pussycat Dolls, we don't do things by halves. The choreography, and the amount of effort and love we put into these shows - it's not by halves. So, going into the full tour, I'm really excited to just sink my teeth into the rehearsal process, and bring in a show that hopefully people are gonna love and feel powerful,' Wyatt said.

The group first reformed in 2019, delivering a raunchy performance on The X Factor that drew hundreds of Ofcom complaints. Wyatt had just given birth via caesarean seven weeks prior and was breastfeeding her child before and after the show. 'It was seven weeks after a caesarean. So then when all the complaints came through I was like, ‘I worked so hard! I even had a wig on!’' she recalled.

Life as an Honorary Brit

Wyatt, who married British model Max Rogers 12 years ago, now considers herself an 'honorary Brit' and has obtained citizenship. The couple lives in Surrey with their three children. 'I do feel like an honorary Brit, and yeah, I have three kids. We live in Surrey. We've been married for 12 years, so yeah, this feels like home,' she said.

Wyatt has also become a familiar face on British television and radio, joining Hits Radio in 2024 and appearing on shows such as MasterChef (2015) and Dancing on Ice (2022). She is now starring in the film Jackie The Stripper, alongside Katie Price and Patsy Kensit.

New Film Role

In Jackie The Stripper, Wyatt plays Daisy, a barmaid who transforms into an undercover badass. 'Daisy was brilliant to get to dive into, to play her, and to have both sides of sort of the more reserved Daisy, the barmaid, and to becoming the undercover badass that she becomes,' she said. The fight scenes were a major draw: 'A big part of wanting to become Daisy, is I've always wanted to do a fight scene in a film, and reading the script, I felt like this is a film that I would really love. I love the thrillers and a comedy to it, so I felt right.' Wyatt added that the physical demands left her bruised: 'I was bruised for days after I threw myself into it, and I can't wait to see it come to life on the screen!'

Jackie The Stripper is now showing in cinemas.
