Katherine Ryan has revealed that she bought her daughter Violet a personalised sparkly lavender wrapped car as she shared an emotional post about her eldest daughter's 17th birthday. The 42-year-old comedian posted a heartfelt message on social media alongside a photo of Violet with the new vehicle.
The Emotional Birthday Post
In her post, Ryan wrote: "The Favourite is 17. I've been proud of you, Violet since before you could roll over and look at you now! Singing, acting, dancing, writing, working, *LIVING LAUGHING LOVING* slaying. More charming and tougher and smarter and better than I am in every way HALLELUJAH."
The post also included a mention of the car's special wrap, with Ryan adding: "(car wrap b6 @magic_automotive is actually a different colour but we didn't want to show it until the police reports come rolling in). YOU TRY DRIVING IN PLATFORMS. Love you so much xx"
The Car Model and Cost
The vehicle is a Ford Puma, though the exact model is unclear. The 2026 version costs between £27,000 and £35,000, while cheaper models start around £15,000 to £17,000. The car features a lavender sparkly wrap, giving it a unique appearance.
Celebrity Reactions
Fellow celebrities quickly commented on the post, with Towie star Gemma Collins writing: "Omg I want her car." Comedian Aisling Bea added: "OG GIG BABY ALL GROWN UPPPPPP XXX." Joanne McNally also commented: "Oh my god the car !!!!!!!!"
Throwback Photos and Family Life
Alongside the car photo, Ryan shared several throwback snaps of Violet growing up, as well as images of the extravagant themed cakes she has received over the years. Violet is Ryan's eldest child, whom she raised on her own before marrying Bobby Kootstra. The couple now share Fred, who turns five this month, Fenna, three, and baby daughter Holland, born in October 2025.
Ryan's Parenting Philosophy
Ryan has previously spoken about her approach to parenting, saying she spoils her children so they won't be impressed by low-effort men. On Paloma Faith's Mad, Sad & Bad podcast, she said: "I don't raise humble children. I know that being a nepo baby can backfire. A lot of these children can really struggle to ascend to what their parents have achieved and that can be a terrible feeling. However, I have decided to spoil my daughter as much as I can and give her really extravagant Valentines."
She added: "I fly her wherever she wants to go, I get her VIP tickets to anything that I can because then I feel like she won't be impressed by someone's dusty son. I used to be really impressed by like the offer of a ride home."
