Quiz Clothing to Close 16 UK Shops by End of June After Administration
Quiz to Close 16 UK Shops by June 30 After Administration

Fashion retailer Quiz is set to close 16 high street shops by the end of June after falling into administration for the second time in less than 12 months. The company, which launched in 1993, entered administration on February 5, 2026, and all 37 remaining locations are being shuttered this month.

Stores Already Closed

Shops in Belfast, Carlisle, and Leeds have already had their last day of trading. The Irvine branch is due to close on June 19, with Portsmouth and Castleford following on June 20. Leicester is expected to close by the end of next week.

Deep Discounts and Final Sales

Most items are now being sold for less than £10, with shopfronts featuring large “everything must go” signs. All products are sold as seen, and returns are only accepted for faulty goods. Gift cards and credit notes are no longer valid.

Administration Details

Interpath Advisory took control of the firm and is overseeing the closure programme after what was described as a “tough start” to 2026. More than 100 head office and warehouse jobs were expected to be impacted, though the official number remains unknown.

Remaining Closures

Shops earmarked for closure by the end of June include Sheffield, Derby, Manchester’s Trafford and Arndale Centres, Merry Hill, Newtownabbey, Braehead, Stirling, Telford, Lakeside, Norwich, and Newry.

Concessions Remain Open

Quiz concessions in New Look and Matalan stores in the UK have not been included in the administration and will remain open.
