Jessica Sutta Claims She Was Blindsided by Pussycat Dolls Reunion Announcement
Former Pussycat Dolls member Jessica Sutta has publicly addressed her exclusion from the iconic noughties girl group's highly anticipated comeback tour. The reunion, announced recently, features only three original members: Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, and Ashley Roberts, while founding members Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton were notably absent from the lineup.
No Communication from the Group
During an emotional appearance on The Maverick Approach podcast, Sutta revealed that she and her fellow excluded members received no prior communication about the reunion plans. "None of us were called. None of us were told about anything. In fact, we were blindsided," she stated emphatically. This revelation comes after Scherzinger's awkward interview on the Today show, where she struggled to explain why some original members were missing from the reunion.
Personal Betrayals and Political Differences
Sutta expressed particular disappointment with Wyatt and Roberts for failing to reach out following the death of her mother. "I thought we were all friends, but that's how it goes in Hollywood," she lamented. While confirming that Scherzinger did attempt to contact her on the day of the announcement, Sutta admitted she hasn't returned the call and doesn't plan to, despite maintaining respect for Scherzinger's artistic achievements.
The former dancer, who relocated to Nashville after suffering a vaccine injury from the Covid vaccine, suggested her political activism may have contributed to her exclusion. Sutta has become an outspoken supporter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the vaccine-injured community. "It's a cash grab, let's keep it real," she said of the reunion tour. "And I was a liability. I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA."
Health Concerns and Well Wishes
Despite the controversy, Sutta clarified that due to ongoing health issues from her vaccine injury, she was "never" planning to return to PCD. She extended well wishes for the group's success on their global tour while maintaining her position that the handling of the reunion revealed the true nature of her former colleagues. "The way they did this just showed me exactly why I'm not in the group and showed exactly, to me, who they are," she concluded.
Other Members Also Excluded
Fellow founding member Carmit Bachar has also confirmed she wasn't contacted about the reunion, learning about the plans simultaneously with the public. In a formal statement, Bachar expressed disappointment at the lack of direct communication, particularly given her instrumental role in the group's early development and commercial success.
Awkward Media Moments
The reunion announcement has created several uncomfortable public moments for the returning members. During the Today show appearance, Scherzinger became visibly flustered when questioned about the missing members, stammering through an incomplete response before Wyatt intervened. Wyatt described the Pussycat Dolls lineup as "ever-changing" and emphasized the trio's current focus on protecting their peace and repairing past ruptures within the group dynamic.
Scherzinger eventually recovered to state: "We have so much love and respect for all of the women that have been part of the legacy. And once a doll, always a doll." Daily Mail has reached out to Scherzinger for additional comment regarding Sutta's recent statements and the ongoing reunion controversy.
