Jackie 'O' Henderson Spotted Relaxing in Bondi After $100 Million Radio Exit
Jackie 'O' Henderson, the 51-year-old radio personality, has been seen enjoying some leisure time following the dramatic collapse of The Kyle and Jackie O show. On Thursday, Henderson stepped out with her close friend and manager, Gemma O'Neill, for an upscale lunch at the trendy Bills restaurant in Bondi Beach. The pair appeared engaged in a lively conversation as they walked together, with Henderson emphatically using hand gestures to make her points.
Fashion Choices and Casual Demeanor
Both women opted for light-colored outfits, with Henderson choosing a boho-style camisole in a semi-sheer white fabric. She paired this with wide-leg trousers that matched her top and completed the look with brown sandals. Accessories included a green designer handbag slung over her arm and Rayban sunglasses. Her makeup was kept clean with a touch of pink lipstick, and her hair was styled in loose waves.
Meanwhile, Gemma O'Neill wore a cream ensemble consisting of a matching shirt and mini skirt, along with a crossbody bag. Despite the recent termination of her lucrative $100 million contract at KIIS FM, which had eight years and $88 million remaining, earning her approximately $10 million annually, Henderson appeared remarkably relaxed. Her radio career currently remains uncertain due to the ongoing fallout from her feud with co-host Kyle Sandilands.
Snubbing Meghan Markle's Sydney Retreat
In a surprising development, Henderson has chosen to snub Meghan Markle's upcoming Sydney retreat, organized by the events company Besties, which she co-founded with O'Neill. The Duchess of Sussex is set to be the headline guest at the inaugural Her Best Life Retreat, a three-day event focused on connection, wellbeing, and personal development. However, Henderson has decided to skip the event to ensure the spotlight remains firmly on O'Neill.
Speaking on the latest episode of Her Best Life, O'Neill revealed that she initially hesitated to host the event, confiding her apprehension to Henderson. "I feel really excited because I did go through a period, I will admit, that I actually almost said no, and I actually spoke to Jackie about it," O'Neill said. She added that she begged Henderson to take part, but Henderson was adamant in her refusal.
Supportive Friendship and Event Details
"I tried to beg her to come and do it, or I tried to beg her to come and, like, take over the event," O'Neill continued. "She was adamant, and she said: 'No, Gemma. You need to do this for yourself. This is meant to be for you.'" Henderson explained that she wanted O'Neill to break out of her private shell and take center stage.
Despite her absence, Henderson showed support by commenting on O'Neill's Instagram announcement post, writing: "Incredible Gem... definitely living your best life," accompanied by clapping hands and love heart emojis. O'Neill expressed admiration for Meghan Markle, stating, "I have admired this woman and what she has endured, how she's risen above it, and how she has demonstrated that a woman can be pushed down and she can still rise."
Retreat Highlights and Financial Prospects
The retreat will be held at the InterContinental Hotel at Coogee Beach in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs from April 17 to 19, attracting around 300 women. It is anticipated to generate nearly $1 million in ticket revenue. VIP tickets, priced at $3,199, include a group table photo with the Duchess, seats in the front two rows for the gala dinner, an exclusive goodie bag, and a premium ocean-view hotel room.
Additional activities feature a session with psychologist Dr. Justine Corry, a meditation and manifestation workshop with O'Neill, yoga, sound healing, pool time overlooking Coogee Beach, and a dinner-and-disco celebration. The event website promotes it as "an intimate luxury weekend by the ocean designed to bring women together for powerful conversations, relaxation, laughter and unforgettable experiences."
