Isla Phillips: Royal With Fourth Most Popular Baby Name 2025

Isla Phillips, the youngest daughter of Peter Phillips and his first wife Autumn Kelly, has been revealed as the namesake behind the fourth most popular baby name of 2025. The annual list of top baby names shows Olivia holding the top spot for girl names for the tenth consecutive year, with Isla ranking fourth.

Who Is Isla Phillips?

Born Isla Elizabeth Phillips on March 29, 2012, at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, she is the granddaughter of Princess Anne and a great-granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Despite her royal lineage, Isla has grown up largely away from the spotlight, as her father does not hold a royal title.

Isla is among several royal girl names featured in the 2025 list. Others include Isabella, the second daughter of Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor; Sienna, Princess Beatrice's daughter; Mia, daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall; and Lily, a variant of the nickname for Harry and Meghan's daughter, Lilibet.

A Private Upbringing

The 14-year-old has enjoyed a more normal childhood compared to other royal children. She and her older sister, Savannah Phillips, have been spotted at major royal gatherings, including serving as bridesmaids at their father's intimate wedding to Harriet Sperling on June 6, 2026, in Kemble, Gloucestershire.

Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling went public with their relationship in May 2024, with their engagement confirmed in August 2025. The wedding was attended by senior royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Anne with Sir Timothy Laurence.

Harriet's 14-year-old daughter, Georgina, also served as a bridesmaid alongside her stepsisters. The three teenagers play for the same hockey team, which is reportedly how their parents met.
