Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has shared an emotional video on Instagram detailing the difficulties she faces with co-parenting. The actress, who has three children with ex-partner Scott Sinclair, broke down in tears as she spoke about the anxiety of being apart from her kids.
Flanagan, 34, said: 'I just hate co-parenting. I really, really struggle. I like really struggle when they go away... It is just really hard, especially when you are not getting on.' She admitted that while she often feels overwhelmed when caring for her children full-time, she also struggles when they are not with her.
The mother-of-three, who shares daughters Matilda, nine, and Delilah, six, and son Charlie, three, with Sinclair, said she has been experiencing 'bad anxiety' recently. She explained: 'I have not had a minute because I am nearly always with the kids but it is like a double-edged sword because when they go I want them back.'
Flanagan, who played Rosie Webster on the cobbles, also opened up about her difficulty being alone. She said: 'I struggle being on my own, not being on my own in a relationship but in general, I always have to be with one of my friends.' She added that she hopes to use time apart from her children to focus on self-care.
The video comes after Flanagan previously told OK! magazine that she is 'done with men for the time being' and is focusing on her children, work, and friends. She split from footballer Scott Sinclair in 2022 after 13 years together.
