Two Islanders Dumped After Explosive Recoupling

Love Island's most explosive episode to date aired on Friday evening, June 19, with two Islanders eliminated after a dramatic recoupling. Four new bombshells were granted the opportunity to steal a partner from an established couple, and it was only revealed after their choices that the single Islanders would be immediately booted out.

Newcomer Tina Rad paired up with Aidan Murphy, while Halle Brown selected Tommy Murphy after sharing a kiss. Chidi picked Mica Harris, and Finley Maddock chose Ellie Chadwick. This left original Islander Sam Workman and bombshell Namibia Olpherts single and ousted from the villa, casting a melancholy atmosphere with several contestants in tears.

Sam and Namibia Speak Out About Sean and Lola

The axed duo have since spoken about their time on the ITV2 reality show, and both had observations about established couple Lola Deal and Sean Fitzgerald. Lola and Sean have been partnered since the opening of Series 13 and recently declared their love in a touching scene. Lola confessed on companion programme Aftersun that despite the early stage of their relationship, she would "follow him anywhere," adding, "Do you know what I'll move to Dublin I don't mind, I'll follow him anywhere."

Speaking to ITV after his exit, Sam disclosed that he often sought advice from the couple. "I felt like I could go to them about anything," he said. Discussing their dynamic, Sam shared: "I think Lola and Fitzy [Sean] will stay together and I really hope they make it to the end. I think they deserve to win - they're strong and everyone looks up to them and wants what they have. I certainly looked up to them and thought 'I wish I had that connection with someone'. I definitely think they'll be a strong couple on the outside."

Namibia confessed that Sean was "probably my closest male friend there" and echoed Sam's sentiment that the couple will endure beyond the show. Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
