Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose has married her new husband Chris Hargreaves, four years after divorcing her first husband of 18 years. The 56-year-old, best known for playing Gina Bellamy on the ITV drama, tied the knot at Briars Hall Country Club in Lancashire on Saturday.
Penrose shared pictures from the ceremony on X, captioning them: "Married the love of my life yesterday." In the photos, she wore a fitted ballgown with a lace bodice and tulle A-line skirt, while Hargreaves donned a light green suit. Fans congratulated the couple, with one commenting: "Did you say yes in a heartbeat?"
The actress was previously married to ITV presenter Mark Simpkin, whom she met at the National Television Awards in 2001. They wed in 2003 and renewed their vows in 2013, but separated in 2021. The couple share two sons, Jake, 22, and Freddy, 17. A source told The Sun at the time: "They decided to go their separate ways after realising they had grown apart."
Penrose went Instagram official with Hargreaves in 2021, and he proposed during a holiday in Tenerife in July 2025. She played Gina Bellamy on Heartbeat from 1993 to 2010, appearing in over 300 episodes, making her the show's longest-serving female cast member. She also appeared in Emmerdale and Coronation Street, and was a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013.
