Heartbeat star Tricia Penrose has revealed she has married the "love of her life" in a ceremony held in Lancashire, four years after her divorce from her first husband of 18 years.

The 56-year-old actress, best known for playing Gina Bellamy on the ITV drama from 1993 to 2010, walked down the aisle at Briars Hall Country Club in Lancashire on Saturday (2 May) to marry Chris Hargreaves. She later shared pictures from the event on X, captioning them: "Married the love of my life yesterday."
In the photographs, Tricia wore a fitted ballgown with a lace bodice and a tulle A-line skirt, while Chris donned a light green suit. Fans flooded the comments with congratulations, with one writing: "Did you say yes in a heartbeat?" Another added: "You look amazing, congratulations to both of you."
Previous Marriage
Tricia's new marriage comes four years after her split from ITV star Mark Simpkin, to whom she was married for 18 years. The couple, who share two sons Jake, 22, and Freddy, 17, separated in 2021. A source told The Sun at the time: "They decided to go their separate ways after realising they had grown apart." Mark, who presented shows including I Want That House and a property segment on This Morning, also appeared as Craig Brennan on Coronation Street. The pair met at the National Television Awards in 2001 and married in 2003 at Adlington Hall in Cheshire, renewing their vows in 2013.
