Geri Halliwell was notably absent from the London premiere of the Beckhams' new Netflix documentary series 'BECKHAM' on Tuesday night, as she was in New York promoting her latest children's book. The 51-year-old former Spice Girl, who is married to Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner, was seen posing at landmarks such as the Empire State Building and Times Square ahead of appearances on Good Morning America and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
While there is no suggestion of a rift between Halliwell and her former bandmate Victoria Beckham, her husband Christian Horner and their 17-year-old daughter Bluebell Madonna attended the star-studded event in London to show their support. Halliwell's new book, 'Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen', follows orphan Rosie Frost as she is sent to a mystery island housing a school for extraordinary teens and a sanctuary for endangered species. Halliwell described it as a story about family secrets, shocking betrayals and girl power.
On Instagram, Halliwell told her 1.3 million followers: 'Dreams do come true. I am SO beyond excited to announce that I am officially going on a book tour in America to bring you all Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen.' Fans turned out in force to get signed copies, with one even wearing a white outfit matching Halliwell's. Sharing a video on her Instagram stories, she joked: 'You clearly got the memo.'
Meanwhile, rumours persist of a Spice Girls reunion for their 30th anniversary next year, including a possible headline performance at Glastonbury. Halliwell recently dismissed the Glastonbury rumour but teased: 'At some point there will be something.' A source told The Sun that the five members have discussed a documentary similar to the Beckhams' Netflix series, featuring never-before-seen footage and present-day interviews.
