Frank Skinner has exposed Gyles Brandreth's long-standing claim about wearing woolly jumpers in hot weather. The revelation came after both attended an open-air performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream in Regent's Park on a warm evening.
Brandreth's Bizarre Summer Attire Claim
Brandreth has frequently insisted he wears his trademark woolly jumpers even during heatwaves, arguing that the heat absorption is purely psychological. He once stated, "I wear this for a good reason: the absorption of heat is purely psychological, it's all in your head. If you think cool, you'll be cool."
However, Skinner observed Brandreth at the event with the jumper around his neck rather than worn. "It was a warm, warm night, and who should turn up but Brandreth... he had the jumper with him, but it was too hot to wear, so he had it around his neck," Skinner reported.
