Gwyneth Paltrow has shared the details of her strict morning routine, which includes raw cream, intense workouts, and a daily cuddle with her husband, Brad Falchuk. In an interview with British Vogue's November issue, the Goop founder revealed that she wakes up around 6 a.m. and prioritises a warm hug with her partner before starting her day. 'Brad and I always have a cuddle before we get out of bed and just set the day. Then I go downstairs and have coffee,' she said.
After coffee, Paltrow consumes raw cream before working out. She does a Tracy Anderson workout three days a week and 'heavy Pilates reformer thing twice a week, because my perimenopausal bones need to do heavy'. She also incorporates a sauna and cold plunge if she 'can bear it', noting that her husband is 'a really good plunger'. Her mornings also involve checking emails and Zoom meetings.
For breakfast, Paltrow opts for a protein-heavy smoothie that can make her 'gag', followed by a lunch of salad and fish with her family. Her day may include fittings and recording her podcast. 'It's go, go, go until dinner time and then I'm going to throw my [expletive] computer in the Atlantic Ocean,' she said.
Paltrow married Brad Falchuk in 2018 after meeting him on the set of Glee, which he co-created. She shares daughter Apple, 21, and son Moses, 19, with ex-husband Chris Martin, while Falchuk shares daughter Izzy, 21, and son Brody, 18, with ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik. The couple initially lived apart for a year after marrying, a decision Paltrow now questions. 'I don't think so. I mean, I think at the time, we really felt like we were doing the right thing,' she said, adding that they were trying to 'land the plane very, very gently and slowly'.
