Freddy Brazier Opens Up About Mother's Day Grief and Pregnancy Journey
Social media influencer Freddy Brazier has described Mother's Day as "the hardest time" emotionally, revealing he has been visiting his late mother Jade Goody's gravestone to confide in her about expecting his first child. The 21-year-old, who tragically lost his mother to cervical cancer on Mother's Day in 2009 when he was just four years old, shared poignant details about his struggles and hopes for the future.
A Painful Anniversary and New Beginnings
Ahead of Mother's Day this Sunday, Freddy explained how the occasion always makes him reflect on what might have been. "I've often looked at people out with their mums on Mother's Day and thought, 'You're so lucky... I wish I could have a special day with my mum,'" he told The Sun. "But now, I'll be able to make new memories with my baby daughter."
The young influencer, who was raised by his father Jeff alongside older brother Bobby after Jade's death, finds comfort in visiting his mother's resting place. "I told her what was going on with the baby and how I am feeling, but sometimes I struggle talking to a headstone," Freddy admitted, highlighting the complex emotions surrounding his grief and impending fatherhood.
Rekindled Romance and Family Dynamics
Freddy is expecting his first child with ex-girlfriend Holly Swinburn, 22, with the baby girl due in April. The couple, who split in November after Holly discovered her pregnancy in August, have recently rekindled their relationship. "We are stronger than ever, it's a fresh start for both of us," Freddy confirmed to The Sun.
Their reconciliation became public last month when they reunited at Holly's baby shower, with Freddy subsequently moving back into her flat. The pair were recently spotted sharing affectionate moments during a romantic stroll, where Freddy presented Holly with red roses. A source close to the couple revealed: "Freddy is really excited about having a family of his own... He has been focusing on maturing and preparing to be a dad. It all feels really positive."
Family Concerns and Personal Vows
Despite the optimistic outlook, concerns have emerged about potential family influences. Some sources suggest Holly's family remains worried about Freddy's grandmother Jackiey Budden, 68, who has been described as "volatile and very possessive over Freddy." These concerns follow previous legal attempts by Freddy's father Jeff to limit Jackiey's access to her grandson.
"There are serious concerns about how she will act when the baby arrives," insiders noted, though Freddy himself has vowed to be "the best dad he can be." The couple has faced additional challenges, including recent disagreements about Holly reportedly smoking cigarettes during pregnancy, which they have since addressed.
Holly has also clarified that their child will not be featured in any reality television series, dismissing circulating rumours about such plans. As Freddy prepares for fatherhood, he continues to navigate the emotional landscape of Mother's Day while building a new chapter with his growing family.
