Eric Trump's Sumo Wrestling Attempt Ends in Humiliating Defeat

Eric Trump, the son of former US President Donald Trump, tried his hand at sumo wrestling during a business trip to Japan, only to be swiftly defeated by a legendary wrestler. The 41-year-old was in Tokyo for a shareholder meeting with Metaplanet, a Japanese bitcoin treasury company, as his family expands its cryptocurrency ventures.

Dressed in a sky blue polo shirt and denim shorts, Trump faced off against Yokozuna, a 34-year-old sumo legend, at a local wrestling venue. Despite using his six-foot-five-inch frame to initially drive his opponent backwards, the more experienced wrestler soon tired of the game, lifted Trump, and carried him out of the ring.

Laughing in defeat, Trump clasped Yokozuna's hands and bowed respectfully. He captioned the Instagram video: 'Not every day you get invited to sumo the legend, Yokozuna! Almost had him! A great honor!' In a second clip, he was shown being swung around like a child while practising basic moves.

The light-hearted post drew harsh comments on YouTube, with one user calling it 'rich, dumb people activities' and another comparing it to 'a pregnant pole vaulter – awkward, doomed, and painful to watch.' Some even mistook the video for a scene from South Park.

Donald Trump, a known fan of combat sports with ties to WWE and UFC, is reportedly planning a cage fight at the White House with UFC boss Dana White next year.
