Daisy May Cooper Reveals Supernatural Encounter After Co-Star's Death

Daisy May Cooper, the 38-year-old star of BBC's 'This Country', has opened up about a profound supernatural experience following the death of her co-star Michael Sleggs in 2019. Sleggs, who played Michael 'Slugs' Slugette in the mockumentary, died at age 33 after a long battle with cancer.

In a candid interview, Cooper recalled that Sleggs, who was initially terrified of dying, called her from palliative care to share a vision. He described an 'angelic, spiritual light' at the foot of his bed that told him he would have a new body within seven days at midnight. 'And f**king hell, he died in seven days at 11.59pm,' Cooper said.

Cooper, who had asked Sleggs to contact her from beyond the grave, initially felt disappointed when she received no sign. However, she later experienced unexplained phenomena that she attributes to him. 'Since Sleggs passed away I feel like this veil has lifted,' she said. 'There's just been stuff that I can't explain.'

The comedian, who has since written a book titled 'Hexy B*tch' about her relationship with the supernatural, says the experience has changed her outlook on life. 'I'm a lot more open minded. Now I can see the bigger picture so I don't get as angry or don't get anxiety as much as I did,' she explained.

Cooper also reflected on how financial success from 'This Country' transformed her life, admitting she became an alcoholic during tough times. 'The best thing that's come out of this has been money,' she said. 'It might not make you happy, but it gives you choices.'
