Corrie fans spot Lisa Connor-Swain's doubt in shooting probe

Coronation Street fans were quick to make the same observation as DS Lisa Connor-Swain was seen investigating the recent shooting on the cobbles – to not much avail.

As fans know, having previously attempted to get in between her sister Shona Platt and her husband David in Thursday's (October 8) episode of the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, Jodie Ramsey proved she would stop at nothing to steal her sister's life, after they were reunited for the first time in years back in January.

Having previously attempted to get in between Shona and David, Corrie fans saw the dramatic moment when Jodie's behaviour was exposed, only for the tables to turn once again.

Jodie's plan backfires

With Shona having walked out of the family home after being led to believe it was stepdaughter Lily Platt who was playing an audio of baby Harper crying to make her think she was suffering with her mental health, Jodie went all out to seduce David.

While she was led to believe that David was interested, and that she'd finally got what she wanted, Jodie was crestfallen when she discovered he was playing along with Jodie's seduction while hiding his phone under a towel, allowing his wife to listen in before she interrupted them.

As David and Shona confronted Jodie in No.8 Coronation Street, she struggled to worm her way out of her latest plan, especially after David pulled out her trinket box. Backed into a corner, Jodie pulled out a gun, but Shona and David seemed unbothered as she'd previously convinced them the weapon she had was fake.

Shona pulls the trigger

Tackling her sister head-on, a scuffle broke out, and Shona ended up pulling the trigger, and a gunshot rang out. It was soon clear that Jodie had been shot, as she clutched her stomach and fell back onto the sofa. A distressed Shona then attempted to help Jodie as she bled out.

In Friday's (October 9) follow-up episode of Corrie, paramedics and a firearms officer arrived at the scene, alongside Lisa, as an investigation into what had happened quickly got underway. It was later in the episode that it was confirmed Jodie had made it through surgery and was doing well.

But while Jodie was in recovery, David and Shona tried to get their story straight, with David already having dumped the gun in the canal. Later, as Jodie came round in hospital, Jodie discovered that family hadn't told the police that she was the one who owned the firearm in the first place, and she was soon using their lies to her advantage.

Fans spot Lisa's suspicion

As Sunday's (October 11) episode aired, David and Shona were seen being asked to attend the station for questioning by DS Lisa Connor-Swain. They stuck to their false story, despite the blackmail threats from Jodie, but Corrie fans are sure Lisa knows there is more to the story than they are willing to divulge.

@Felstedboy said: "#corrie Lisa not believing a word David and Shona say." @YasminAli__ commented: "#corrie shona david be careful that Lisa is already giving you weird looks." @AllAbautCarla wrote: "The way Lisa doesn't believe a single word coming out of either of their mouths #Swarla #Corrie."

@TheConnorSwains echoed: "'Like why a police officer found my warrant card in your house?' Lisa doesn't believe a word outta his mouth. #Swarla #Corrie." @ThomasR14336083 added: "Lisa definitely doesn't believe a word David or Shona is saying. You can see it in her eyes. There's no logic explanation of Lisa's badge in their living room. #Corrie."
