The iconic cooking competition, Celebrity MasterChef, is set to make a dramatic return to our screens with a fresh lineup of famous faces and a brand-new presenting team for its 2025 series.
A Star-Studded Lineup Enters the Kitchen
Fifteen celebrities will trade their day jobs for aprons and the intense heat of the MasterChef kitchen. The confirmed contestants for the new series include a diverse mix of talent from the worlds of entertainment, sport, and media.
The roster features renowned tenor and actor Alfie Boe, Welsh rugby legend Alun Wyn Jones, and Antony Costa from the pop band Blue. They will be joined by TV personality Ashley Cain, reality television star Chris Hughes, author and presenter Dawn O’Porter, celebrated Paralympian Ade Adepitan, and Ginger Johnson, a winner from Drag Race UK.
A New Era with Fresh Hosts
This new series marks a significant change for the programme, following the departure of former co-hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace. Their exit came after an independent inquiry was conducted into allegations made against them.
Stepping into the vacant roles are two acclaimed figures from the culinary world. Anna Haugh, a celebrated chef and restaurateur, and Grace Dent, the renowned restaurant critic, have been officially announced as the new permanent hosts for future editions of the show.
Despite this change, viewers will still see John Torode in some capacity during the upcoming series, as some content was pre-recorded before the host transition and will be broadcast as planned.
When and Where to Watch
Fans won't have to wait long to see the culinary drama unfold. The brand-new season of Celebrity MasterChef is scheduled to begin broadcasting on Monday, 17 November. It will air on BBC One at 8pm, offering a perfect evening of entertainment and high-stakes cooking.
