Pierce Brosnan and Fiona Shaw throw a lavish Christmas party in a new festive campaign for British luxury house Burberry, marking the brand’s 170th anniversary.
The video, titled Wrapped in Burberry: Celebrating 170 Years, brings together the stars, including supermodel Cara Delevingne, Bring It On star Gabrielle Union and her husband, former US basketball player Dwyane Wade.
A Star-Studded Guest List at Longleat House
The film opens with Shaw inviting her and Brosnan’s guests to the historic English estate, Longleat House. The guest list includes Dylan Brosnan, Chinese actor Wu Lei, Bridgerton’s Nico Parker, Pachinko actress Kim Min-ha and Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath.
As Shaw rushes to greet her guests, embracing Delevingne, her co-host Brosnan appears less keen for the chaos, seen sitting in a living room reading a newspaper.
The Party Unfolds
The party slowly begins to unfold with presents passed around, children running up and down carpeted hallways and a disco ball carefully being installed. Wade and Union are later seen playing golf in matching Burberry, before Shaw is seen driving around the grounds in a golf cart.
Soon the party is in full swing – much to Brosnan’s dismay, as his quiet evening is interrupted by the dancing and music. The James Bond star concedes and joins the party, where he is seen dancing with Delevingne.
Stars and Their Roles
The party ends with a firework display before Shaw is seen waking up from a living room sofa. Shaw is known for starring in the Harry Potter franchise as the cold and repressed aunt Petunia Dursley.
She has won a number of Olivier awards and was named best supporting actress at the Bafta TV awards in 2019 for her role as senior MI6 officer Carolyn Martens in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s BBC thriller Killing Eve. Brosnan is known for portraying 007 in the James Bond franchise as well as starring in MobLand, Mamma Mia and The Thomas Crown Affair.
