Ofcom probes Jeremy Kyle's TalkTV show

The broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has launched an investigation into an episode of Jeremy Kyle's TalkTV breakfast show. The probe concerns the programme broadcast on June 15 2026.

The episode covered Sir Keir Starmer and a row over spending, Nigel Farage's claims of discrimination against white people in public services, and Rupert Lowe's remarks about Tommy Robinson potentially joining Restore Britain, along with other topical news bulletins.

Regulator yet to disclose details

Ofcom has not disclosed any further details about the nature of the investigation. Daily Star has contacted TalkTV and Ofcom for comment but has not yet received a reply.

Kyle took over the TalkTV Breakfast show in December 2025 following Mike Graham's departure. He rose to fame presenting his self-titled daytime ITV show from 2005 to 2019.

Background of the presenter

The ITV show followed personal disputes between family members, couples and friends, including cheating, family disputes, drug and alcohol dependency and child paternities. At one point, the show attracted around one million viewers daily.

In May 2019, ITV suspended and permanently axed the show after guest Steve Dymond died by suspected suicide shortly after failing a lie detector test on the programme.

In September 2021, it was announced that Jeremy would present TalkRadio Drivetime between Mondays and Thursdays. Under a year later, in 2022, the presenter announced he would return to television to present The Jeremy Kyle Breakfast Show.
