Brooklyn Beckham Faces Backlash Over 'Beck's Buns' Burger Venture Backed by Peltz Billions

Brooklyn Beckham, the 27-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham, is launching a new burger business in Los Angeles called 'Beck's Buns', backed financially by his wife Nicola Peltz's billionaire family. The venture, set to open next year, will feature high-quality burgers paired with his own 'Buster' hot sauces.

The name has drawn criticism, as Brooklyn recently criticised his parents in a social media post, calling them 'controlling'. PR expert Mayah Riaz said using the Beckham surname is strategic, noting it is a global brand with decades of equity. She highlighted the tension between his quest for independence and reliance on the family name.

A trademark dispute with German brewery Beck's was resolved after Brooklyn removed classifications for beer, spirits, wine and mirin from his application. The brewery had argued the name was too similar to its branding.

Brooklyn has previously pursued modelling, photography and football without lasting success. His culinary ventures have faced scrutiny over whether his opportunities stem from his famous surname rather than formal training.
