Brianne Howey, the actress known for her role as Georgia in the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, is expecting her second child with husband Matt Ziering. The couple, who have been married for five years, shared the joyful news on Sunday in celebration of US Mother's Day.

Howey, 36, posted a beautiful picture on Instagram showing herself wearing a yellow dress while cradling her baby bump. The caption read: 'Here we grow again. Happy Mother's Day!'
Motherhood and Her Role as Georgia
The actress has previously spoken about how becoming a mother two years ago helped her better understand her character Georgia, a mother who had her daughter Ginny at age 15. In an interview with PEOPLE in June 2025, Howey said: 'Prior to having a child, of course, I thought many of the Georgia-isms were absolutely insane and unhinged and over the top, and why is she taking up so much space? Now that I have a child, I am so obsessed with her that I understand why Georgia is so obsessed with Ginny, and my heart only got bigger and I just have even more respect for all the moms out there.'
Real-Life Birth Story in Film
Howey also revealed that she used her real-life birth story in a scene for the Netflix movie Kinda Pregnant. She explained: 'Amy [Schumer] called me the night before and said, "Why is nobody talking about their birth stories?" So that's what we did. Then the next day, we went to set and that's my real birth story, actually. So it was a really intimate, kind of in the moment felt a little bit risky, but very safe at the same time because it was just me and Amy. And I'm so grateful to her for wanting to take a swing and really go big with that scene.'
Wedding and Family Life
Brianne and Matt were married on July 24, 2021, in an intimate backyard garden ceremony in California, attended by 100 close friends and family members.
Upcoming Season of Ginny & Georgia
The star is set to appear in a fourth season of Ginny & Georgia alongside co-star Antonia Gentry, though no release date has been announced yet. At the end of season three, which aired in 2025, Georgia was freed from prison after being accused of murder, but her life was in turmoil: her husband Paul left her, she is pregnant, and a new threat emerges as her estranged, dangerous family tracks her down in the final scenes.
