Brenda Edwards Breaks Down in Tears Over Son Jamal on Loose Women

Brenda Edwards became emotional as she spoke about her late son Jamal Edwards during a pre-recorded interview for ITV's Loose Women, set to air on Thursday. The television presenter was comforted by her daughter Tanisha Artman as they discussed the one-year anniversary of Jamal's death.

Jamal, the founder of online music platform SB.TV, died suddenly in February last year at the age of 31. His death was later attributed to cardiac arrest. In the interview, Brenda and Tanisha opened up together for the first time about continuing Jamal's legacy.

A preview clip shown on Good Morning Britain featured Tanisha saying, 'People holding us up, keeping us going.' Brenda responded, 'It's a blessing,' before wiping away tears. Tanisha added, 'I do feel really honoured to have that. Even if I do have a really bad day and I want to fall off, at the end of that bad day I'm like, I've actually got something to do. I've got work to do.'

Brenda then broke down as Tanisha hugged her tightly. On February 20, Brenda marked the anniversary of her son's death on social media, writing: 'Self Belief is my baby Jamal's Mantra, this post is dedicated to my baby it's been 1 year and yet it still feels like yesterday.'

Musician Ed Sheeran, a close friend of Jamal, also paid tribute, writing: 'Can't believe it's been a year. Miss you every day, currently drowning myself in rum listening to tunes you loved.'
