Bobby Norris, former star of The Only Way Is Essex, has disclosed the significant financial cost of his quest to alter his appearance. The 39-year-old admitted to spending more than £50,000 on fillers prior to undergoing a facelift. He confessed to having 'abused' the procedure before his operation.
Openness About Cosmetic Work
Speaking to Vanessa Feltz on her daytime TV show, Norris addressed the extensive cosmetic work he has had. Feltz noted, 'One of the reasons you've been in the papers a lot recently is all the cosmetic work and treatments, and surgeries. You've had quite a lot of them.' Norris responded, 'I think the penny is slowly dropping that I'm really open. I think to be on a reality show for 10 years, for 15 years, do various reality shows and social media, it's an open book. I'm not gonna put the genie back in the bottle. And I think for people who follow and watch on social media and TV and stuff, I think it's important to be honest.'
He added, 'I've documented the whole thing. I mean, there are photos and videos I could have posted that I didn't. Do you know what I mean? I think a lot of people think surgery is like going on Stars in Your Eyes. You walk through the door, and in 20 minutes, you will have a new face or new boobs. That isn't the reality.'
Transformation Since TOWIE
When Feltz showed Norris an image of him when he first joined TOWIE in 2012, he appeared without any filler and before surgery. Asked what work he had had since then, Norris joked, 'Right so what's still left?' He confessed, 'Nose is different, teeth is different, hairline is different, beard, face, cheeks, neck, everything. Apart from the eyes.' Feltz expressed confusion at why he would have so much done at a young age, calling him a good-looking man. Norris attributed it to his stretched cheeks due to filler abuse. When questioned about the total spent on fillers, he shockingly revealed, 'Oh, if you were.. I think someone said it's more than 50 grand.'
Desire to Reunite with Gemma Collins
Beyond surgery talk, Norris expressed a wish to reconcile with his former best friend Gemma Collins. The duo have not spoken for seven years after a dramatic fallout. In a message to her, he said, 'I'd say let's catch up. Let's go and have some lunch. We used to have the best times. We would go to a health farm for one day and still be there a week later, we would just ring down and say, "We're staying another day."' Norris stated that people grow up and their falling out wasn't 'overly deep.' He added, 'I'm just about loyalty. But what I've realised is, and I think maybe it's part of growing up and stuff is what you bring to the table, whether it's a relationship or friendship.' The duo were once fan favorites on the reality show, and fans would love to see them reunite.
