BBC Saturday Kitchen viewers were left stunned by the youthful appearance of TV icon Lenny Henry during his appearance on the programme. The comedian, aged 67, joined host Matt Tebbutt on Saturday morning (June 20) to assist with cooking and entertain audiences with his trademark humour, according to the Express.
However, many viewers were distracted by Lenny's remarkably youthful looks. "Wow Lenny 67 years old looks 10 years younger," one viewer posted on X during the broadcast. "Lenny looks good for 67," another person wrote on the platform, formerly known as Twitter. "Lenny Henry is a legend and I'll die on that hill!" declared another admirer.
A further fan remarked on Instagram: "Great show, so funny. Love Sir Lenny." Another viewer commented: "Hilarious episode," while a different fan added: "Great show so funny. Love Sir Lenny." One individual described the edition of the TV staple as "a laugh a minute" and concluded: "Loved the show."
During the episode, Lenny also discussed his latest tour, titled Still At Large. He explained to host Matt: "It's about when I was 16 and 17 and I was at school, there was quite a lot dodgy stuff going on. I was bullied at school for quite a long time, and there was a lot of sexism and all that kind of stuff, homophobia. And it is sort of talking about how some of these things are still at large and still in play. But the show isn't just about that. It's about family and friends, and it's about love."
He joked: "And it's about where I am now in the world post the knighthood, being the face of Premier Inn." Lenny also revealed that his forthcoming shows will include a question and answer segment, allowing the audience to pose whatever questions they fancy, acknowledging that it was a bit of a "risky" decision. "I haven't done a tour for 15 years," he went on. "It has been fun writing it. It has been fun putting it together. And it's going to be a vibe, I think."
Saturday Kitchen airs on BBC One at 10am on Saturdays.
