Sykes recalled Jamieson's kindness and mentorship: 'He replied: "I was fascinated witnessing how a radio show was produced as it was my very first time in a radio studio, the evening went so quickly. I thought to myself 'well that's that, my first and last time a studio, however as I was leaving Dave asked me if I'd like to come again next Saturday... 'Wow yes please', I quickly replied.'
