Tricia Helfer, best known for playing Number Six in the 2004 reboot of Battlestar Galactica, has launched an OnlyFans page. The 52-year-old actress soft-launched her account in April and has now explained her decision to enter the subscription-based platform.
“At my age, I am in my ‘do what I want’ phase of life,” Helfer told People. “I’m tired of being told what to do and how to do it. I’m looking at it as something to have fun with and something that I can be in control of.” Her bio adds: “I’ve been focused on what I should do and shouldn’t do… and now I’m ready to just be me.”
Helfer’s content will include selfies, professional photography, and livestreams, with a mix of “artistic shots” and “quiet and silly times at home feeding my goats or weeding my garden.” She says the page will be “higher-end” and “the sexier side of my brand.” A six-month subscription costs $70 plus tax, with part of her earnings donated to animal charities such as PETA and Best Friends Animal Society.
Helfer, who previously modelled for Playboy in 2007, sees OnlyFans as “an extension and a modern-day growth from those types of press outlets from the past.” She acknowledges that the content might shock her parents but notes they understood her Playboy appearance. “I enjoy shocking a little bit,” she added.
Other stars in their 50s on OnlyFans include Shannon Elizabeth, Denise Richards, and Carmen Electra, who cite financial autonomy and control over their narratives as reasons for joining. Industry estimates suggest over 15% of OnlyFans users are aged 55 or older.
