Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, revealed in a social media post that Asha was admitted to the hospital late on Saturday suffering from a chest infection and exhaustion. Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed to reporters that her last rites would be performed on Monday, allowing fans and family to pay their respects.

Asha Bhosle's remarkable career lasted nearly eighty years, during which she recorded approximately 12,000 songs. Her voice became a staple in film-obsessed India, resonating across generations with its unique blend of soulful melodies and spirited compositions.
