I'm A Celeb's Angry Ginge: From £12 Streams to Millionaire Status
Angry Ginge's £1.1m Net Worth Ahead of I'm A Celeb

Social media sensation Angry Ginge is set to make his television debut on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! tonight, entering the jungle as bookmakers' favourite while boasting an astonishing personal fortune built entirely online.

The 23-year-old streamer, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, has transformed his life through platforms like Twitch and TikTok. From humble beginnings in Salford where he was raised solely by his mother, Morgan has accumulated wealth estimated between £804,000 and £1.1 million in just the past year alone.

From Damp Flat to Digital Stardom

Morgan's journey began five years ago in what he describes as a "s***hole" rented flat with no shower, peeling wallpaper, and severe damp problems. He saved £350 to rent the property, nicknaming it "the pub" while fans questioned whether anyone could genuinely live in such conditions.

His first Twitch stream in October 2020, featuring FIFA gameplay inspired by streamer Castro1021, attracted just 40 viewers and earned him £12.44. After several months of averaging only six to seven viewers per stream, he took a break before returning with renewed determination and a consistent streaming schedule.

The Building of an Empire

Morgan's persistence paid off spectacularly. He now commands an impressive social media presence across multiple platforms:

  • Almost 1.5 million followers on Twitch
  • 883,000 subscribers on YouTube
  • 1.3 million followers on Instagram
  • Nearly 2 million followers on TikTok

His income streams include subscriptions, advertisements, and Bits - Twitch's virtual currency that allows fans to support creators directly.

Relatability and Charity Work

Morgan attributes his success to his relatable background. "I think it's gone down well because people can relate that I've come from the same place they've come from," he told indy100. "I've come from a council estate and I know what they go through and have been through."

Beyond streaming, Morgan has established himself as a philanthropist. This summer he participated in Soccer Aid for UNICEF, appearing alongside Louis Tomlinson, Wayne Rooney, Toni Duggan and Jill Scott to raise millions for disadvantaged people worldwide.

Regarding his I'm A Celebrity participation, Morgan expressed immediate enthusiasm: "When I got approached to be on I'm A Celebrity, I said 'yes' immediately because it's a bucket list item. I've watched the show on the sofa with my mum ever since I was a kid."

He anticipates challenges ahead: "My whole life is spent on the phone. I've been away once for a week. And so, two to three weeks without it is going to be very educational to see how I will do!"

I'm A Celebrity returns at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, where Morgan will compete alongside fellow celebrities including Lisa Riley, Ruby Wax OBE, Martin Kemp, his friend Aitch and Jack Osbourne.
