In a recent interview with The Sun, Amber emphasised that their relationship is purely platonic, explaining that while they share undeniable chemistry on the dance floor, this is simply part of their performance dynamic. 'I cannot give it any more breath,' she stated regarding the rumours.

When questioned about the infamous Strictly curse that has affected previous contestants, Amber was unequivocal in her response. 'It's nonsense,' she declared, adding that she's actually good friends with Nikita's girlfriend, model Lauren Jaine, who he has been dating for two years.
Sources close to Amber confirmed to the Daily Mail that any suggestion she had fallen victim to the show's so-called curse was completely unfounded.
