Sean 'Diddy' Combs has condemned a new Netflix docuseries executive-produced by his longtime rival 50 Cent, calling it a 'shameful hit piece' and alleging it uses stolen footage. The four-part series, titled 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning', is set to debut on 2 December and includes never-before-seen clips of the disgraced music mogul.

Combs, currently serving a four-year prison sentence for prostitution-related charges, claims the footage—including private moments and conversations about legal strategy—was obtained unlawfully. A statement from his spokesperson said: 'It is fundamentally unfair, and illegal, for Netflix to misappropriate that work.' Netflix has denied the allegations, stating the footage was 'legally obtained'.

The series comes amid Combs's ongoing legal troubles. He was convicted in summer 2024 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, after a trial that included testimony from his ex-girlfriend Cassie. He was acquitted of more serious sex-trafficking and racketeering charges. Combs is serving his sentence in New Jersey and is eligible for release in May 2028.

50 Cent, who has a long-standing feud with Combs, said his involvement in the series was not personal but aimed at holding hip-hop accountable. Director Alexandria Stapleton described the documentary as a 'wake-up call' about celebrity idolisation. Combs's legal team has reportedly contacted Netflix over the footage dispute.
